Considerations when choosing a mentor.

Considerations when choosing a mentor.

In Homer's Odyssey, the young Telemachus had an adviser called Mentor.

Before you choose your mentor reflect on the following.

If your child has a friend who is glued to their tablet whilst demanding junk food all day long, guess what your child will be asking for and doing next week.

We become like the people with whom we associate, so be very careful when you choose a mentor.

If they are going to guide, advise, coach or counsel you, their values need to be in line with your own and they need to be able to adapt their communication style to your own, otherwise they won't be able to give you impartial and objective caree advice.
